Plain terms for two things: using this website and the demo line, and having us build, host and support a phone for your business.
1. Who we are
PhoneTwin is Robert Ward's business in Harrogate, England. Outsold, callPam and the Dialler are products we built and run. When these terms say "we", "us" or "our", they mean PhoneTwin. You can reach us on 01423 227770 or at buildova@buildova.io.
2. This website and the demo line
You may ring 01423 227770, from a phone or from this page, to hear what we build. Calls are answered by an automated assistant and may be recorded. Calls last up to fifteen minutes. We limit how many browser calls one visitor can start, and we may end or refuse calls that are abusive or wasteful, since every minute costs us money.
Use the line and the site lawfully and decently. Do not try to break, overload or probe them.
3. What we build for you
We build your business a phone that looks after itself: custom, for you, hosted and supported by us. What exactly it does is agreed with you in writing before we start, together with the monthly fee. The build is included in the fee. There is no separate up-front charge unless we agree one in writing.
4. Paying and stopping
You pay monthly, in advance. You can stop at any time by telling us, and your phone keeps working until the end of the month you have paid for. Call, text and voice usage is paid to the phone and voice providers on the terms you agree with them, and we set those accounts up with you. Where a product has its own price and minimum term, such as callPam, that price and term are shown before you buy.
5. Your side of it
You are responsible for how your phone is used: who it calls, what it says, and the customer data it holds. You agree to use it within the calling, recording and messaging rules that apply to you, which we set out in plain English on What the law allows. We will not build features that break those rules, and we may switch off a feature that is being used to break them.
6. Your data and your voice
Your customers' data is yours. We process it on your behalf to run your phone, as described in our privacy notice. If we clone your voice, it is done with your written permission, used only for your own phone, and deleted when you ask.
7. Ownership
The software, designs and know-how behind what we build stay ours. You get the right to use your phone for your business for as long as you pay for it. Your name, your content and your customer data stay yours.
8. What we promise, and what we do not
We host it, we watch it, and we fix it. We work hard to keep your phone up, but phones depend on networks, voice providers and the internet, none of which we control, so we cannot promise it will never miss a call. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for loss of business, profit or data arising from an outage or a mistake made by the automated assistant. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
9. Changes
We may update these terms. When we do, the date at the top changes. Carrying on using the site or the service after a change means you accept it.
10. The law that applies
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction.
